From the Beginning
The North Dublin Muslim National School was opened as the second state-funded Muslim Primary School in 2001 under the Trusteeship and Patronage of the Islamic Foundation of Ireland. The school opened in response to increased demand from families for places within a Muslim primary school, particularly in North Dublin, and began in temporary accommodation in Cabra, Dublin 7 with three class teachers and 47 pupils in September 2001. |
Where We Are Now
The North Dublin Muslim National School has grown immensely since 2001, and now caters for over 350 pupils from Dublin city and its suburbs. The school is continuing to grow and currently has fifteen mainstream classes, one ASD class and seven full-time special education teachers. |
